Probably everyone loves pleasant surprises. Whether it is good weather in mid -October, good Monday or victory of the Russian national football team. Something from the category of such surprises for fans of the video game was released two years ago Batman: Arkham asylum. But immediately after the announcement, the game began to tease “Another mediocre game about the superhero” and something like a jerk to the second film Christopher Nolan In the universe Dark Knight, A little earlier. Also development Arkham asylum They entrusted a hitherto not particularly famous London studio Rocksteady, which before that only a middle sequel had a medium Urban Chaos.

But all doubts were dispelled immediately after the release – we received not only the best game about the heroes of comics, but also one of the best games 2009 year, and fans Knight Gotham They even began to argue who the Batman turned out better – at Nolan or Rocksteady.

Success of both critics and fans, and therefore the financial profit of the project, of course, influenced the decision of the British studio to take up the continuation Arkham asylum. And so, from day to day, a new part in the history of the Dark Knight, the name of the name, has been preparing for the exit Batman: Arkham City.

"Welcome to a World withThout Rules."

Apparently, time in gloomy Gotham City flows much more slowly than in real life, because the players had to wait for a new part of adventure Dark Knight almost two years, while in the universe DC Only a year passed. And, I must say, during this time there have been a lot of interesting changes in the city. For example, the director of the infamous Hospital Arkham, Queens Sharp, He became the mayor Gotham, And since after the events Arkham asylum The number of prisoners increased many times, then the walls of the hospital could no longer fit all the criminals. In order to prevent new riots, the newly -made mayor decided to single out one of the dysfunctional areas of the city under a new prison nicknamed Arkham City, where the main events of the game of the same name will unfold.

Another thing is that in the allocated territory anarchy immediately began to flourish, associated not only with the section of the spheres of influences between gangs that have formed VIP pacients around themselves Arkham, but personally with the head of the district – doctor Hugo Strandem. All this could not have been liked Batman, After all, the person of the new overseer clearly did not cause confidence Dark Knight – Not only did Hugo frankly, is not an adequate person himself Gotham, He also learned the main secret of our protagonist – his personality. Just around the relationship between these characters and the gear of the plot will spin Arkham City.

And if only Dr. Streinj stood in https://rembrandt-casino.co.uk/ the way of Batman! Already mentioned leaders of criminal groups, like Harvey Dent, or Penguin They also strive to interfere Knight Gotham, After all, it was he who hid them behind the bars of the Arkham hospital. Our old acquaintance Joker With inimitable Harley Quinn – They are going to not only take revenge on our hero, but also to conquer the authority of their gang lost. True, himself Joker After the events Arkham asylum It doesn’t feel it, so he will mainly entrust the work of his girlfriend.

To compete with a group Joker There will be ambitious supporters Two -faced And himself Penguin with his crowd of mercenaries and trained zombies Solomon Grandi. It is the gang Harvey Dent I decided to steal Female cat To raise authority among competitors. (Well, to save the lady, of course, will have to Batman.) But the role Penguin Basically, the plot is still unknown for certain, but it is definitely not worth doubtful of its organizational abilities – this gentleman is in an unchanged tailcoat and with the same irrevocable attribute in the form of an umbrella, even his own word will say. The same can be assumed about already familiar to us by the original Poisonous ivy, Crocu And Bane – These pranksters, do not hesitate, nerves Dark knight It will be spoiled pretty.

Have not gone anywhere and a rogue Riddler With their cunningly wise reboses, in addition, developers promise not only to increase the number of riddles and secrets from this hero, but also to expand his role in the main plot.

Add to this list of invited stars also Rasa Al Guul, Victor Zsase, Mr. Frisa, Dedshot And Calendar person, and get an explosive mixture of antagonists of completely different calibers, tastes and role.

"Ladies and Murderers! WelCome to the Big Fight. Batman: You’re Going Down!"

Of course, Batman It will be necessary to somehow fight all these enemies, while managing to save the innocent residents Gotham, help Commissioner Gordon and perform tasks of other secondary characters. Fortunately, all skills Dark Knight remained with him, like an armful of various gadgets, as migrated from the original hook, Bataran, Explosive gel, codes cracker, and completely new ones, like smoke checkers or electrical shotgun. The famous mode was also improved "Detective", which has become more convenient and now gives even more information about illuminated enemies (type of weapon, degree of protection or weaknesses) and objects with which you will have to interact.

As for the combat system, it was significantly improved, not least thanks to the new animations of strikes, counterattacks and finishing, which have become even more spectacular and cinema. The artificial intelligence of the opponents also endured several qualitative changes – now they behave more relaxed in battle, attacking Batman even more aggressive, they try to use a quantitative advantage and improvised means, such as metal pipes or bricks in the process of fighting. In addition, to the new types of enemies, like armored mercenaries Penguin or opponents with firearms, you will have to look for a completely different approach, not to mention various bosses, the battles with which have become a true decoration Arkham asylum.

Who so lonely?

“But really Batman One will have to fight with all these spitens?" – you ask – and then a sexual gait will come out on the forefront A female cat, which is recommended not only an ally Dark Knight, but also a full -fledged playable character in Batman: Arkham City. It is in the hypostasis Catwoman We will spend a tenth of the game, scoring on the roofs Gotham, spectacularly carved from enemies with the help of claws and a whip, and actively flirting with Batman. Unlike Cats, Another comrade Knight Gotham, Robin, will be available only in a separate regime for survival, far from plot perturbations.

It should also be noted that, as in the original, a very important role in the gameplay will play the environment – the possibility of transported to any surface with a hook will be highlighted everywhere or to fade from the ledge of the roof in a free drop, using a cloak, using a cloak Batman. It is these features that will provide an opportunity for sudden attacks on opponents from the air, or the unexpected appearance of our envoy literally out of nowhere (an analogue Arkham asylum). Naturally, when choosing a silent passage of some levels, all this will come in handy more than once Dark knight for quiet neutralization of enemies.

It is also worth adding that Gotham It will become a very important element of the game, because on its dark, with a slight shade of Noir, the streets we can not only get additional quests, but also eavesdrop on the conversations of the inhabitants Arkham City, In order to learn more about the world of the game.

“Today, You Get To Say,“ I Told You So."

As you can see, at Rocksteady The excellent game really turns out, both in terms of studying the universe, and in view of the gameplay. And how carefully and carefully developers use their license, deserves only higher praise.

Already now Batman: Arkham City called one of the main events in the field of interactive entertainment 2011 years, the game beats the records of pre -orders and the first assessments of the critics, which means that the bar that the original put, the second part of the same managed to jump. Let’s see if the next projects will succeed in the universe Batman take so high bar Arkham City.
